CHEYENNE, WY— January 4, 2022 — Laramie County Events held its annual Spirit of Giving campaign during the month of December featuring a Pet Drive and a Coat Drive. The drives were open from December 1st through the 19th. In total, 172 coats, 142 hats (many handmade), 10 gloves, 4 scarves, 3 snow pants/suits and 1 pair of boots were donated in sizes ranging from 3T up to adult XXL. The winter items were donated to Laramie County School Districts 1 and 2 to be distributed to youth in need of one. Pet supplies including food, leashes, toys, blankets and more were collected and donated to help support the Cheyenne Animal Shelter and its mission within the community.
About Spirit of Giving
Laramie County Events Spirit of Giving has been an annual campaign since 2019. The campaign is a way for Laramie County Events to give back to the community through donation drives, and free Christmas activities such as Breakfast with Santa and an Indoor Drive-In Movie. The department manages the new multi-purpose Event Center at Archer, Archer Rodeo Arenas, Laramie County RV Park, and all event facilities at the Archer Complex.
