Laramie County Events announces The Spirit of Giving
FREE Holiday Events Return to Archer Complex
CHEYENNE, WY— November 10, 2021 — The Laramie County Events Department will kick-off the 3rd Annual Spirit of Giving campaign at the Event Center at Archer on December 1, 2021, with a Coat Drive and Pet Drive. Saturday, December 18, will include both Breakfast with Santa and our Indoor Drive-In Movie. Santa will be on hand in the morning to meet kids of all ages during our free breakfast provided by Uncle Fred’s Catering, Case Custom Meats, and Dazbog North. Don’t miss the chance to drive inside the Event Center at Archer onto the main floor for a truly unique indoor drive-in movie experience featuring the classic Christmas movie, The Polar Express.

Get in the spirit by giving back to the local community with our annual Coat Drive benefitting Laramie County Schools, and feeding our local pets with our Pet Drive benefitting the Cheyenne Animal Shelter. Our Coat Drive and Pet Drive will kick-off on December 1, 2021 with a collection bin in the lobby of the Event Center at Archer. Collection bins will be located in the Event Center lobby. The lobby will be open from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM daily. Be sure to bring your items by December 19, 2021.
Bring the whole family for a free breakfast and visit with Santa Claus on December 18, 2021 at the M&K building at the Archer Complex. Don’t forget your camera to snap a photo with Santa. Admittance is free but registration is required for one of two breakfast seating times. Registration can be found on the Laramie County Events website at www.laramiecountyevents.com.
Drive on in for our Indoor Drive-In Movie featuring a Christmas family favorite, The Polar Express. The 2004 film is based on the beloved children’s book by Christ Van Allsburg, follows a young boy’s train ride adventure to the North Pole. Drive-In space is limited to 60 vehicles and registration is required, to register please visit www.laramiecountyevents.com. Registration for the event opens at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. “Lawn” seating is available on a walk-in basis. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for seating on the main floor (concrete). Popcorn and drinks provided at no charge thanks to Pepsi, additional concessions will be available for purchase.
Laramie County Events, also known as the Laramie County Events Department, was established in 2019. The department manages the new multi-purpose Event Center at Archer, Archer Rodeo Arenas, Laramie County RV Park, and all event facilities at the Archer Complex. Laramie County Events also coordinates annual events such as the Laramie County Fair, Laramie County Farm & Ranch Show, Laramie County Sportsman’s Expo, and Laramie County Spirit of Giving.
